We are pleased to share that the EXCEL Single Topic Symposium: EGID Xcelerating Care, Research and Innovation in an Evolving Landscape has been awarded an R13 conference grant by the NIDDK! This event is happening on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 in Hollywood, FL at the Diplomat Hotel in advance the the NASPGHAN Annual Meeting.

This funding aims to provide a supportive and inclusive training environment to engage junior investigators in exchanging the most current science, interacting with established leaders in the field, and influencing future directions of pediatric EGID research.

We can offer nine $1,000 travel awards to help defer the cost of travel, lodging, and registration.

Eligibility will be from the selected SPARK presentations (flash abstracts or posters) that are presented explicitly by trainees (graduate students, postdoctoral fellows) and junior faculty (<5 years from the start of the first faculty position).  Awardees will be expected to attend the morning mentorship breakfast, conference, and SPARK poster session.  A curriculum vitae, a one-page personal statement outlining interests in EGIDs and a statement of support form your institution are also required.

Applications are due 10/21/2024, and awards will be administered at the EXCEL Symposium.
